Shenton Way

North Bridge Road

Bugis
Bugis Street offers a mixture of new and old Singaporean culture. In the mid-1980s, Bugis Street underwent major urban redevelopment into a retail complex of modern shopping malls, restaurants and nightspots mixed with regulated back-alley roadside vendors.

Katong, also known as Tanjong Katong, is a residential neighbourhood in the eastern portion of the Central Region of Singapore, within Marine Parade planning area.
Although formerly located by the sea, the land was reclaimed all the way to East Coast Park to provide more land for housing in the late 1960s. Tanjong Rhu is a subzone within the planning area of Kallang, Singapore, as defined by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). Changi
Changi is a district to the east of Singapore. It is bordered by Pasir Ris and Tampines to the west and Changi Bay to the east. Changi, which is one of the two water buffers on the island of Singapore, is the largest district in the country by area.
Known as Tanjung Rusa in the 1600s, Changi was later renamed Tanjung Changi in the 1800s. Changi is predominantly a spacious area with very little buildings, with its narrow streets lined by angsana and palm trees. A perfect and idyllic place for picnics, Changi is often the preferred place for a weekend family picnic.

Loyang
Loyang is a subzone region located in the town of Pasir Ris in the East Region of Singapore. The region consists of three subzones, Loyang West, Loyang East and Flora Drive.
The region is served with the exterior road of Loyang Avenue, which leads to Pasir Ris and Tampines and Changi City Point. Loyang is a small residential and industrial area. It is also known as Kampong Loyang.

Simei
Simei is a subzone located in the eastern part of Singapore, situated within the town of Tampines. The name Simei is pinyin for “Four Beauties” in Chinese. Formerly known as Tampines South, it was officially renamed to Simei in 1985.
Simei used to be a village by the sea with a nice seaview. However, due to land reclamation in the area, the sea is no longer visible from Simei. You can find all types of housing in Simei, from HDB flats to condominiums to landed property.

Tampines is a planning area and residential town in the geographical region of Tanah Merah located along the north-eastern coast of the East Region of Singapore. Singapore does not technically have any “Southern” districts, as the southern area of the island is considered the “Central” districts. However, we do have an area known as the Northeastern part of Singapore, where the largest town is Hougang with the population of 800,000+. This region is mainly made up of newly developed towns like Punggol and Sengkang; you’ll find more young newly-wed couples or young families in the areas.

Bounding the town to the north and north-east is the Straits of Johor, with Coney Island included as a part of the Punggol planning area.

Sengkang

Ang Mo Kio, often abbreviated as AMK, is a planning area and residential town situated in the North-East of Singapore. Ang Mo Kio is the 3rd most populated planning area in the North-East Region and ranks 8th in terms of population in the country overall. The planning area is located at the south-western corner of the North-East Region, bordered by the planning areas of Yishun to the north, Sengkang to the north-east, Serangoon to the east, Bishan to the south and the Central Water Catchment to the west

Bishan
Bishan also known as either Bishan New Town or Bishan Town, is a planning area and matured residential town located at the northernmost portion of the Central Region of Singapore. Bishan borders three other planning areas – Ang Mo Kio to the north, Toa Payoh to the south and Serangoon to the east.
Bishan or Bi Shang Ting is derived from the Cantonese word for large burial ground. In the past, there was a burial ground in the area and it has since been excavated to make way for residential development.

Thomson
Thomson is a relatively narrow area stretching from Novena in the Central Region of Singapore up north till Sembawang. The area is mainly located within the central catchment area where some of Singapore’s reservoirs are located, including MacRitchie Reservoir, Upper Peirce Reservoir and Lower Peirce Reservoir.
The area also contains one of the oldest roads in Singapore, which is also one of the longest and tends to be a vital link from the northern part of Singapore to the Central Area and the Downtown Core, as well as the rest of the island. The road is split into two lengths, Thomson Road, and Upper Thomson Road.

Seletar
Seletar is an area located in the north-east of Singapore. Its name can also refer to the Seletar Planning Area (as defined by the Urban Redevelopment Authority), situated in the North-East Region of Singapore. The place name was derived from the Malay subgroup who were indigenous to the area, the Orang Seletar. It shares boundaries with the planning areas of Sengkang to the south, Punggol to the east, Yishun and Simpang to the west, as well as the Straits of Johor to the north.

Yio Chu Kang
Yio Chu Kang is a sub-urban area in the northeast of Singapore, with proximity to the Ang Mo Kio, Lentor, Seletar and Sengkang areas. Deriving its name from the Yio Chu Kang Village, it is still known for lush greenery and low-density housing with high-rise public housing in its southern fringes.
A residential precinct rich with Singaporean history, it was a place full of gambier and pepper plantations.

The West Region is the largest (by size) area in Singapore and has a population of over 1 million living in the area, with Jurong West being the largest town. This region is mostly made up of industrial estates and warehouses, so if your company is in the heavy-duty industry, then your office is quite likely to be based in this area. The West is a location you might wish to consider if you don’t wish to invest too much of your time commuting each day.

Boon Lay
Boon Lay is a neighbourhood located in the town of Jurong West in the West Region of Singapore. Its borders very roughly correspond to the URA subzone of Boon Lay Place, situated within the Jurong West Planning Area.
The subzone was named after Chew Boon Lay, a prominent businessman in the late 19th century and early 20th century who owned the land where the precinct stands. Before the 1960s, a portion of Boon Lay was a swampy jungle. Subsequently, it was turned into Singapore’s first industrial estate with its first factory, the National Iron and Steel Mills.

Jurong
Jurong is a geographical region located at the south-westernmost point of the West Region of Singapore. Have two part, Jurong West and Jurong East. A large part of Jurong is the Jurong Industrial Estate.

Tuas
Tuas is a planning area located within the West Region of Singapore. It is bounded by the Western Water Catchment to its north, Pioneer to its east and the Straits of Johor to its west. Tuas also shares a maritime boundary with the Western Islands planning area to its east.
In 1998, the Tuas 2nd link was opened as an alternative route between Singapore and Malaysia. The opening of the Tuas 2nd link helped to ease the heavy traffic on the Causeway, Singapore’s first bridge to Malaysia.

Tengah

As the name implies, it is the northernmost region of the country and has a population of at least 400,000. By far, it is mostly under-developed and has an abundance of nature and greenery. Woodlands, the largest town in this region, is the nearest location to our neighbor, Malaysia. Linked by a causeway, it is possible to travel to and from Johor every day.
