Trans Batam Bus or Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in Batam City or known as TransBatam is a public transportation provider in Batam which has been operating since 2005. This system is the second BRT system in Indonesia after the TransJakarta.
Trans Batam operates 9 bus routes and covers an area from the North at Nongsa to the South to Terminus Piayu Laut. The most western stop is Halte Pool Damri and the most eastern stop is Terminus Telaga Punggur.
Currently, Trans Batam serves 8 of the 9 route corridors.
Tickets can be purchased (Rp. 2000 for students | Rp. 4000 for the public) at ticket counters at terminals/major halts or directly from the bus driver and are for single rides. If you require transit, simply purchase and additional ticket in the next bus.
