For Everyone with Questions
Singapore’s public holidays reflect its multicultural mix. Chinese New Year (2 days) and Vesak Day (1 day) are observed by many in the Chinese and Buddhist communities, Deepavali (1 day) is celebrated by Hindus, and Muslims mark Hari Raya Puasa (1 day) and Hari Raya Haji (1 day). Christians observe Good Friday and Christmas Day. These holidays are gazetted under Singapore’s Holidays Act.
