ArchitecTour – CapitaSpring
Singapore’s skyline recently gained a skyscraper. Capita Spring is the name of the new example, which reaches a total of 51 floors or 280 m into the sky and covers a total area of 93,000 m2 . The green high-rise oasis in the heart of Singapore’s financial district, jointly designed by BIG and CRA, aims to strengthen Singapore’s reputation as a modern garden city as a practical example of trend-setting vertical urbanism. The gardens on the 51st and from the 17th to the 20th floor offer a wonderful view of the center downtown.
The tour is led by Sabine. She has been living in Singapore since 2021 and enjoys cycling through Singapore at the weekend with her husband and friends. Sabine studied architecture at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and completed an additional part-time course in monument preservation in 2004. Through 35 years of work and teaching in German and Chinese architectural offices and universities as well as experience with the latest digital tools such as BIM, she has a comprehensive view of buildings and their surroundings.
