Corporates and governments need to comply with their ambitious net-zero sustainability targets!

Though, how effective are these carbon off-setting projects? What are the best ways to create transparency and build trust? How do carbon credits fit into a wider net-zero strategy that aims at the decarbonisation of our planet?

NET ZERO STRATEGY ADVISOR, ASEAN AT NANDINA PARTNERS

Karina is a Net Zero strategy advisor to ASEAN-based Financial Institutions and Corporates. She has worked in environmental impact and sustainable development for 20 years – specialising in creating new financial instruments to deploy pollution remediation and prevention solutions.

As the Head of Ventures for Nandina Partners, a firm that designs carbon retirement portfolios, Karina develops opportunities to sell carbon assets and invest capital directly into greenhouse gas reduction. Karina is a Steward on the Council for Inclusive Capitalism and a Certified Carbon Emissions Instructor for Fuller Academy, a registered HRD Corporate Training Provider in Malaysia.

PRIYANKA MEHTA

SUSTAINABILITY & ESG PROJECT MANAGER AT SGS TESTING & CONTROL SERVICES SINGAPORE PTE LTD

Priyanka is currently leading the ESG solutions for SGS Singapore. She has over 14 years of experience in providing sustainability and ESG solutions. She worked closely with clients to achieve their carbon reduction targets through assessing their carbon inventory and implementation of GHG Protocol. Priyanka’s background with technology and carbon emissions helps providing value added service to clients looking for demonstrating commitment.

SHRUTI SINGH

REGIONAL DIRECTOR, CLIMATE ADVISORY, APAC OF SOUTHPOLE

Shruti leads the Climate Strategies team for APAC at South Pole. She has 14 years of experience across sustainability consulting and corporate sustainability with deep expertise in leading design and delivery of sustainability strategy and low carbon solutions for organisations. She has led projects across a broad spectrum of sustainability topics including science based and net zero target setting, carbon budgeting and mitigation roadmaps, renewable energy strategy, green supply chain, circular economy and more. Her experience spans across multiple industries such as transportation & logistics, consumer goods, retail, energy, technology, chemicals and others.

AVP, GROUP SUSTAINABILITY AT IHH HEALTHCARE

Boon Yaw looks back at 19 years of experience in leading Health, Safety and Sustainability in Shell and General Electric. Currently with IHH Healthcare, Asia’s largest private healthcare network, he leads the organisation’s decarbonisation roadmap towards Net Zero by 2050.
